Explorers Camp (Ages 5—7)

Explorers Camp is designed for the younger child. Campers participate in swimming, arts & crafts, health & fitness, group games, recreational reading, and character development activities. Campers also have the opportunity to participate in weekly excursions to various places such as museums, playgrounds, and cultural events. As a part of Explorers Camp, campers learn how to develop long-lasting friendships and build solid social skills by learning about and utilizing our four core values.

Teens who want to be involved with camp leadership projects gain readiness skills and work experience during the summer, working alongside experienced Y staff. CIT's will receive training in program safety and undertake a Community Service project as part of the Summer Day Camp. Participants will have the opportunity to shadow counselors and spend time assisting with hands on activities. This camp will focus on personal growth through confidence building, as well as through supervised interaction with campers. Potential LiTs are required to have attended at least one Day Camp as a camper, and must complete the LiT Application Form in addition to a letter of recommendation from a person in the community - who is not related. These teens will learn and develop camp skills needed to become future counselors.
